BLOOD THINNER or ANTICOAGULANTS: These can cause excessive bleeding. Some product which thin the blood are aspirin, ibuprofen, Coumadin and alcohol
BOTOX & LIP FILLER INJECTIONS: Permanent make-up before the procedure or 6-7 weeks after your botox or filler procedure
JOINT REPLACEMENT: It is recommended that the client be treated prophylactically with antibiotics prescribed buy their physician. The physician will advise the client to take the antibiotic one hour prior to proceeding with the permanent cosmetic procedure
ACCUTANE: One year waiting period after the client has gotten off Accutane before they can undergo a permanent cosmetic procedure
CHEMOTHERAPHY: Theses procedures are often permitted just before the first round of Chemo, or often in between, just before the next treatment when the client’s white blood count levels are within normal range. Medical clearance is necessary.
IMMUNO SUPPRESSIVE DRUGS/PRENDISONE: Written medical clearance is necessary. The clients immune system is already hugely compromised due to the drugs. We can not run the risk of exacerbating that situation for a permanent cosmetic procedure.
ORGAN TRANSPLANT: If you have had an organ transplant you are not a candidate
DIABETES: People on insulin for diabetes must be on antibiotics to obtain permanent cosmetics. Medical clearance is necessary
PSORIASIS, ROSACIA, ECZEMA: Never tattoo on top of or over skin conditions, The trauma from permanent cosmetics procedure could very possibly cause the condition to spread and travel not only in the area affected, but on other parts of the body as well
LASER EYE SURGERY/LASIK: Permanent cosmetic procedure, not just eyeliner, but all procedures on the face, should not be performed 1 month prior to laser eye surgery. Physicians recommend 3 months, following the eye surgery is an acceptable waiting period. Medical clearance is necessary
RED CROSS: Red cross does not accept blood donations for 6 months to 1 year after permanent make-up
